Wednesday, February 19, 1987, seemed like an ordinary day on Earth. However, the sky offered an unusual spectacle: it shone with extraordinary intensity and was tinged with luminescent colors, as if an aurora borealis had descended upon the planet. That night, some witnesses claimed to have seen an object speeding through the atmosphere, mistaken for a comet. What no one suspected was that it was a rogue craft, originating from a remote corner of the universe called Furbylandia, about to crash into Earth's surface. The impact shook the crash site, attracting several curious onlookers. As they approached, they heard high-pitched, incomprehensible sounds, similar to those heard in science fiction movies. As the smoke and dust began to dissipate, small creatures emerged from the interior of the craft, bewildered but alert to their surroundings. They were peculiar-looking creatures: their fluffy bodies resembled those of a hamster, while their large eyes and curved beak evoked those of an owl. Although they appeared frightened, they did not seem hostile. One of the onlookers cautiously decided to approach. To his surprise, one of the newcomers spoke a single, understandable word: "Furby." From that moment on, the locals began to care for them, offering them fruit and other foods, gradually gaining their trust. As the days passed, one of the creatures willingly approached. To everyone's surprise, it allowed itself to be petted. No one imagined that touch was their way of learning languages; although they could only assimilate certain words, this allowed them to communicate rudimentarily with humans. Over time, the Furbys proved to be friendly, curious, and playful. Finally, when the relationship between the two species strengthened, the little aliens decided to show them the inside of their damaged ship. Inside, the humans found a telescope pointing toward a distant planet, pink and blue in color, resembling a cotton ball. It was their home. They also discovered a control panel with emergency lights still on, indicating that the impact had been an accident. The Furbys, with gestures and sounds, made their new friends understand that they needed help to repair the ship and return to their home world. However, months passed, and the connection between the two species grew. The Furbys integrated into Earthly life with surprising ease, adapting to human language and customs. Little by little, they spread to different places until they were finally domesticated and became children's most beloved pets. With the help of science, humans managed to replicate their DNA to prevent their extinction, ensuring their survival on Earth. Years later, the Furbys continue to live among us, exploring the world, learning new skills, and embarking on countless adventures.
